PictureCode has updated the Photoshop plug-in version of Noise Ninja. Version 2.2.0 of the powerful noise reduction software for Mac and Windows adds support for Smart Filters in Photoshop CS3 on both platforms and fixes bugs in the Mac release (including one that would cause Photoshop to crash when the computer woke from sleep).

Zeiss to ship Distagon T* 2/28 in fourth quarter
Zeiss this week has announced a third wide angle lens in its Nikon-mount ZF series. The Distagon T* 2/28 is a 28.5mm manual focus lens with a maximum aperture of f/2.0 and is promised to have superior optical quality. The Distagon T* 2/28 is slated to ship in the fourth quarter of 2007 at a manufacturer's suggested list price of US$984 in the U.S.

Nikon ViewNX, Transfer available for download
Nikon has recently released ViewNX, a new image browser that includes basic NEF conversion capabilities, and Transfer, an application for copying photos from memory cards to the computer. Both ViewNX and Transfer are free downloads from Nikon websites and are available for Mac and Windows.
