| Tethered shooting now possible with Epson P-6000, P-7000 |

Epson has released a firmware update for the P-6000 and P-7000 that adds tethered shooting capabilities to the photo storage devices. Firmware v2.05 supports linking via USB to a range of Canon and Nikon digital SLRs, and is available now as a free download from Epson Europe.
The supported cameras are:
- Canon EOS 40D
- Canon EOS 50D
- Canon EOS 5D Mark II
- Canon EOS-1D Mark III
- Canon EOS-1Ds Mark III
- Nikon D90
- Nikon D300
- Nikon D700
- Nikon D3
- Nikon D3X
Once installed, firmware v2.05 enables the automatic transfer and viewing of photos, as well as remote tripping of the shutter. It's not possible to remotely adjust camera exposure and other settings from the P-6000 and P-7000. More information is in a how-to document included with the download.
