| Singular Software posts video demo of DualEyes |

Singular Software has added to its site a video demonstration of the upcoming audio-to-video synchronization product DualEyes. The standalone application takes video from a digital SLR or other source plus separately recorded audio and synchronizes the two together, either replacing the audio track within the video files with the external audio or creating audio files which precisely match each video clip.
DualEyes, which utilizes the underlying syncing technology first unveiled in the company's PluralEyes plug-in for Final Cut Pro, is expected to materialize shortly in public beta form. The upcoming software is meant to provide shooters who don't use a pro level video editor an
automated and - based on our experience with PluralEyes - magically
effective way of syncing video and audio.
Update, June 7, 2010:
Singular has updated the DualEyes page on its website to say that the program will initially be available only for Windows, with a Mac version to follow.
