Nikon has officially introduced the Coolpix S1100pj, a follow-on to its S1000pj compact camera that incorporates a brighter built-in projector, 14.1MP sensor, 28-140mm (equivalent) VR lens, 3 inch (diagonal) touch LCD screen and 720p/30fps video recording in a restyled body.
The S1100pj is to ship in September 2010 at a manufacturer's suggested list price (MSRP) of US$349.95. It will come in black, violet, green and silver.
(Its predecessor, the S1000pj, is currently selling at clearout prices of US$250 or less in the U.S.)
Nikon has also unveiled the S5100, a 12.2MP compact model that's slated to ship in October 2010 at an MSRP of US$179.95. Available body colours will be black, pink, purple and blue.
