Apple has introduced a revamped MacBook Air line, including an 11.6 inch model that is the company's smallest, lightest laptop to date. It features a 1366 x 768 pixel LED-backit display, Intel Core 2 Duo processor running at up to 1.6GHz, up to 4GB RAM and up to a 128GB solid state drive in a 2.3lb package. Also unveiled today is iLife '11, a new version of its consumer application suite featuring an improved iPhoto, iMovie and GarageBand (one change that stands out is the beefed up and really slick audio editing capabilities of the new iMovie).

Rounding out today's announcements is the bringing of the iPhone 4 and
iPod touch's FaceTime video conferencing to the Mac (it's available in beta form today). Apple has also given a sneak peek at the next major release of the Mac operating system, to be called OS X Lion.
