| Mac OS X 10.6.5 improves Aperture processing, extends RAW format support |

Apple has released Mac OS X 10.6.5, an operating system update that, among other changes, improves image processing performance in Aperture and iPhoto (the exact nature of the improvements is not specified) and extends conversion support to RAW formats captured with the Canon EOS 60D and PowerShot S95, Nikon D3100, Hasselblad H4D-40 and six other models.

Note that NEFs captured with the Nikon D7000 do not appear to be supported in the Mac OS yet.
