At the Tokyo International Gift Show, the optical company, Kenko, best known outside of Japan for its filters, lens adapters, and other accessories, is showing a mock-up C-mount interchangeable-lens compact digital camera system alongside as many as 14 different lenses (although it's not clear if these are new or existing lenses). The basic story of the camera's unveiling is being reported in English by

DC Watch Impress. According to CNET Asia, the camera is scheduled to be available in Japan after June 2011, but it's not yet clear if it will be marketed elsewhere.
