Sigma has released news on several new and previously announced, but not yet available, products.

The newly announced products include the DP2x, a large-sensor compact using a Foveon X3 sensor that captures 2652 x 1768 image pixels (4.69 megapixels) using 14 million photo receptors, which has been upgraded with faster autofocus and a new image processing technology called Analog Front End. The two new lenses are the APO 50-150mm F2.8 EX DC OS HSM, which has been upgraded with optical stabilization (OS), and the MACRO 105mm F2.8 EX DG OS HSM, which has been upgraded with OS and a Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) for autofocus. Pricing and availability on these products was not revealed.

The company also released pricing and availability on three lenses announced last year.

• The APO 120-300mm F2.8 EX DG OS HSM, which has been upgraded with optical stabilization (OS) and weather-resistant construction, will become available in the U.S. in late February for an MSRP of US$4,700.
• The APO MACRO 150mm F2.8 EX DG OS HSM, also upgraded with OS and weather-resistant construction, will be available in the U.S. at the end of March for an MSRP of US$1,600.
• The 12-24mm F4.5-5.6 II DG HSM, which has been upgraded with weather-resistant construction and a new optical design, will be available in the U.S. at the end of April for an MSRP of US$1,400.
