| Apple introduces quad-core processors, Thunderbolt connector to MacBook Pro line |

Apple has - at long last - brought quad-core processors to its MacBook Pro line. Both the 15 inch and 17 inch models, introduced today, come standard with Intel Core i7 quad-core processors, while the 13 inch, 15 inch and 17 inch all gain Apple's new Thunderbolt high speed peripheral/display port (but lack native USB 3.0). As before, the larger two of the three MacBook Pros can be purchased with an anti-glare screen. The updated models are available now.

Apple has also made a preview release of Mac OS X Lion available to developers. The next major iteration of the Mac operating system is slated to ship "this summer," says a press release.
