The 2011 Pulitzer Prizes for photography were announced today.

The prize for breaking news photography has been awarded jointly to Carol Guzy, Nikki Kahn, and Ricky Carioti of The Washington Post for their work photographing the aftermath of the earthquake in Haiti.

The prize for feature photography has gone to Barbara Davidson of The Los Angeles Times for her work documenting victims caught in the crossfire of gang violence.
