Panasonic has announced the 12 million image pixel, Micro Four Thirds format Lumix DMC-GF3, the latest in the company's lineup of large-sensor, interchangeable-lens compact cameras.
The GF3 is smaller than previous GF-series cameras and its weight has been reduced to only 9.3 oz./264g with battery and SD card. The camera will be available in kits with either a 14mm f2.5 lens (July 2011) or with a 14-42mm f3.5-5.6 lens (late August 2011) for US$699.99 and US$599.99 respectively.
