Reuters photographer Mark Blinch has posted
a story on the Reuters photography blog about shooting atop Toronto's CN Tower, almost 1200 ft. above the ground on a metal platform without a railing.
He was assigned to cover the media preview day for the tower's new EdgeWalk attraction, which lets people walk around on the flat, open platform tethered with a safety harness.
Blinch's post details the way in which he and his equipment were secured to prevent drops and includes some queasy-making images of reporters leaning off the platform's naked edge.
