Using Nikon Capture, a FireWire-equipped Sony Vaio laptop and a Lucent Wavelan wireless Ethernet card, Heiner busied himself shooting pictures with a D1 while the Vaio busied itself saving those pictures, at 10BT Ethernet speed, to a server several hundred feet away. Meanwhile, another copy of Nikon Capture in the event area displayed the new pictures as they arrived. The uses of this setup are few, but the coolness factor is high!
