MacBibble continues its steady march towards completion with the posting today of testing version 0.5. The new release of the Nikon D1 .NEF file decoder fixes a bug with versions of ColorSync prior to 2.6 (though author Eric Hyman recommends upgrading to ColorSync 2.6 or later for best performance) and adds new features. Changes in v0.5 include:
The Histogram/Levels adjustment display has been enabled.
The cursor now changes to indicate that MacBibble is processing a function.
The default colour space has been changed to Adobe RGB.
Functions in the Options window should be more stable in operation.
ColorSync 2.5 is now supported, though MacBibble will run slower than with ColorSync v2.6 or later.
Crashing problems when adjusting settings in the Options window are fixed.
Canceling out of the Options window now works properly.
