An EETimes.com article describes the first JPEG2000 accelerator chip to be launched into the marketplace this week. The chip, from Analog Devices, as well as upcoming chips from other vendors, could be incorporated into future digital cameras. Meanwhile, Steve's DigiCams last week noted the release of various JPEG2000 software pieces from Aware.
