Photo Mechanic Lite and Pro 2.0r16 for Mac include the ability to save out a new, non-lossless JPEG from an existing JPEG, applying rotation and cropping edits in the process. Other changes in the free updates include (from the Read Me):
- Variables can now be used for file renaming when saving as JPEG
- All contact sheets can be closed (or ejected) if the option key is held down during the close or eject commands
- Added support to browse Photoshop files
- Added 4 characters or less abbreviated names for all variables
- Fixed problems with long file renaming strings that use variables
