September's edition of The Digital Journalist is devoted to the State of Photojournalism, the first in a two-part series on news photography today. This month looks at newspapers and television.
Leading off the series is a feature on the reinvention of the photo department at the Newark Star-Ledger, focusing on everything from photographer Matt Rainey's Pullitzer win to the staff's conversion to Nikon D1 digital. A gallery of 50 photos, as well as 16 video clips, round out the package.
The issue also features an interview with New York Times Picture Editor Margaret O'Connor.
