| Lexar to develop HD cards |

Jorgen Chr Jorgensen notes that Lexar Media has partnered with German electronics company Optosys to develop a line of high-density CompactFlash cards for industrial applications. A Lexar controller tested to operate in extreme temperatures will form the basis of a 1GB CompactFlash Type II card. The card is expected to ship before the end of the year to "OEM telecom, datacom and medical customers worldwide."
