An announcement published today on the Japanese-language version of the Nikon Imaging site indicates that the Nikon D2H's ship date has been pushed back to late November 2003. Nikon representatives outside of Japan have told us that the announcement pertains to the Japanese domestic market only (the announcement itself doesn't specify a region) and that some or all other world regions will be shipping D2H bodies prior to late November.

Simon Dai notes a story on the Japanese language web site PC Watch that quotes Nikon in Japan as stating that the reason the D2H is delayed domestically is because the high volume of pre-orders for the camera means that not enough units can be delivered to dealers at this time to meet demand.
