SimpleTech has announced an 8GB Type 2 CompactFlash card with 10MB/sec. write speed. The card uses SimpleTech's proprietary stacking technology to achieve its storage capacity, according to a company press release.

The company also announced 2GB, 4GB, and 5GB Type 1 CF cards and indicates that the entire ProX CompactFlash lineup will be upgraded to 10MB/sec. write speeds.

SimpleTech expects to begin shipping the new cards in the second quarter of 2004 but no specific pricing information is yet available.
