Konica Minolta announces development of Dynax/Maxxum digital SLR

Konica Minolta has announced the development of a Minolta A-mount compatible interchangeable-lens digital SLR, which is tentatively called the Dynax 7 (Maxxum 7 in the U.S.). It will use a so-called "APS-C" size 6-megapixel CCD and also features the unique Anti-Shake function the company pioneered in the A1 prosumer model. This stabilization system works by moving the CCD to counteract camera shake, rather than shifting lens elements, and it's therefore effective with all current Minolta A-mount lenses. The camera is scheduled to become available in autumn 2004, but Konica Minolta hasn't given an expected price.
