PDNOnline reports on the photo coverage of the attack by Vancouver Canucks hockey player Todd Bertuzzi on Colorado Avalanche forward Steve Moore in which Moore was seriously injured. It was the biggest news event of the hockey season, according to PDN, but very few photographs of it made the sports news feeds.

PDN cites several reasons for this, including the fact that a Reuters stringer left the game before the incident happened and another shooter was under contract to the Canucks who did not allow his pictures to be released.
