Digital Photography Now has published this report from a hands-on session in London with a prototype Epson R-D1, the recently announced Leica M-mount digital rangefinder camera. Dp-now reports that Epson (presumably Epson U.K.) says the camera will go on sale "sometime this summer" and that the body-only will cost 3,000 euros. Dp-now also provides the price in GBP (£2,000) and U.S. dollars ($3,500), but it's not clear if that's simply a currency conversion or if those prices will actually apply in the U.K. and U.S. markets.
