Imacon recently announced the Flextight 949, which takes its place as the company's new top-end scanner. An improvement on the Flextight 848, the new model doubles data capture rate to 200MB per minute, increases dynamic range, and reduces the visibility of dust, grain, and scratches. It can scan prints (up to A4 size) or film (in sizes from 35mm to 12x25cm) at resolutions up to 8000dpi. Suggested list price is US$19,995.00 in the U.S.
