August 20, 2004 is the deadline for entries in Editor & Publisher Magazine's fifth annual Newspaper Photos of the Year contest. Images published in newspapers or on newspaper web sites after October 1, 2003 are eligible. The entry form does not make clear if the contest is limited to images published in U.S. papers.
