Alongside the Digital Rebel XT, Canon has also announced the EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro, a macro lens that works exclusively with the EOS 20D, Digital Rebel and Digital Rebel XT.

The EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro is an internal focus design, can focus from infinity to 4 inches and is capable of a 1:1 reproduction ratio at the closest distance.

The lens is expected to ship in April 2005 at an estimated street price in the U.S. of US$449.
