Canon today released new firmware for the EOS-1D Mark II and EOS-1Ds Mark II that's meant to stomp out a bug that cropped up in firmware made available on May 31, 2005.
Today's firmware releases - v1.2.3 for the EOS-1D Mark II and v1.1.3 for the EOS-1Ds Mark II - fix a problem in which "pressing the DISPLAY button right after shooting images resulted in an abnormal display and the camera would freeze. Images are not lost when this occurs."
Version 1.2.3 for the EOS-1D Mark II is available here. Version 1.1.3 for the EOS-1Ds Mark II is available here.
