Photographer Lou Manna has authored a book entitled Digital Food Photography: Tips and Tricks of the Trade Revealed. Manna has more than 30 years of experience shooting food for cookbooks, magazines, and the New York Times where he was a staff photographer for 15 years.
Aimed at a broad audience, Digital Food Photography has some chapters that may seem basic to a pro but others on food styling, prop styling, composition for food shots, lighting, and the business of photographing food that are aimed at pros looking to improve their food images or expand their business in that niche market.
The book's suggested list price is US$39.99, but a quick scan of Internet booksellers turned it up for well under US$30.
