Apple has published a feature in the Pro/Photo section of its website on photographer Vincent Laforet's workflow at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino, Italy. Laforet, a former staffer at The New York Times who has been contracted by the paper to cover the games, is experimenting with file sharing, Automator scripting, and Aperture to reduce his editing burden.
As one might expect, the story is Aperture and Apple-centric, but it offers a nonetheless interesting look at some possible workflow efficiencies, especially for shooting big media events and working in conjunction with an off-site picture editor.
