The 57th Southern Short Course in News Photography will take place from March 31 through April 2, 2006 in Spartanburg, South Carolina, USA. The faculty includes freelance photojournalist Ami Vitale, New York Times contract photographer Vincent Laforet, and Houston Chronicle photo editor Swayne B. Hall, among many others.

A registration form is available for download, and tuition is US$75 (US$45 for students).

An associated photo contest, The Southern Short Course Contest, is also open for entries, which must be received by 5p.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2006. The contest entry fee is US$30.
