Apple today revealed that the next release of Aperture, v1.1, has slipped from its projected March 2006 ship date. In a press release announcing that the company is now shipping Final Cut Studio 5.1, Apple inserted a paragraph stating that Aperture 1.1 won't emerge until next month:

Aperture™ 1.1, the first Universal version of the revolutionary all-in-one post production tool for photographers featuring greatly improved RAW quality and impressive performance gains on both Intel- and PowerPC-based Macs, will ship in April.

The Aperture 1.1 Update page on the Apple web site now notes the ship date has been moved to April as well.
