The April 2006 issue of The Digital Journalist has been posted. Articles include:
- A tribute to photographer, filmmaker, and novelist Gordon Parks, who died last month
- An introduction to a story package from the Rocky Mountain News, called Final Salute, with pictures by photographer Todd Heisler and text by reporter Jim Sheeler. The highly regarded story, which first ran last year, is rumored to be among the front runners for a Pulitzer Prize
- Some ruminations by Greg Kelly on the photographers he interviewed for a Canadian Broadcasting Corporation television documentary called "Beyond Words: Photographers of War". A very low-resolution 10-minute version of the documentary, plus a photo gallery and comments by the photographers, are available at the CBC web site
- Dispatches from photographers covering the Winter Olympics, Iran, and the very large swath of radiation-contaminated land surrounding the Chernobyl nuclear reactor, known as the "black zone"
- Tech tips from Canon's Chuck Westfall
