Late last week, ACD Systems updated both its consumer and pro imagement applications for Windows.
ACDSee Photo Manager 8.1 adds supports for the processing of RAW files from newer digital SLR models including the Canon EOS 30D and Nikon D200, tweaks various features and fixes a number of bugs. It's a free download (registration required) for licensed users of v8.0 and is available now in the English language version, with updaters for other supported languages due later this month.
ACDSee Pro Photo Manager 8.1 adds support for the processing of Canon EOS 30D, Nikon D200 and D2Hs RAW files, speeds up the viewing of RAW files, embeds EXIF metadata in JPEGs and TIFFs created by the application's RAW conversion engine and improves the handling of colour space profiles. As with its consumer counterpart, ACDSee Pro Photo Manager 8.1 is a free download (registration required) for licensed users of v8.0 and is available now in English, with updaters for other supported languages scheduled for release later in the month.
