X-Rite has completed its acquisition of the parent company of GretagMacbeth. X-Rite and Amazys Holdings announced their intention to join forces earlier this year; leadership at the combined company, which is to be called X-Rite, is a mix of executives from both outfits.

A Times Herald-Record (Middletown, NY) story notes that several GretagMacbeth facilities worldwide will be shuttered in the months ahead, including GretagMacbeth's New Windsor, NY campus.
