| Apple releases Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 2.2 |

Apple this week released Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 2.2, an update to the RAW display and decode support built into the Mac OS that adds the Canon EOS Rebel XS/1000D, Kodak DCS Pro SLR/n, Nikon D700 and seven other digital camera RAW files to the list of those supported in Aperture 2.x and iPhoto '08.
The full list of newly-added cameras:
- Canon EOS Rebel XS/Kiss Digital F/1000D
- Kodak DCS Pro SLR/n
- Nikon D700
- Olympus EVOLT E-420
- Olympus EVOLT E-520
- Olympus SP-570
- Samsung GX-10
- Samsung GX-20
- Sony DSLR-A300
- Sony DSC-R1
The complete list of camera RAW files supported in OS X 10.5 is here. Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 2.2 requires Mac OS X 10.4.11 or Mac OS X 10.5.3 or later, and can be downloaded either as a standalone updater or via the Software Update mechanism of OS X.
