Zacuto, a video accessory maker and reseller, has posted an interesting comparison video showing the same scene recorded with the Canon EOS 5D Mark II, Nikon D90, various other HD-capable video cameras plus 35mm motion picture film.
The 10-minute video includes a discussion of what attributes are desirable in video capture today, as well as clips from all the cameras included in the test. Dubbed
Zacuto's Great Camera Shootout '08, it can be viewed at lower resolution below, or as a somewhat crisper version on the Vimeo website. As you'll see, neither Canon's nor Nikon's video-capable digital SLRs fare particularly well in the Zacuto test, showing so-so colour and little to no detail in dark areas (though whether camera settings and/or subsequent processing contributed to this we can't say).

There is also a 1280 x 720 pixel (720p) version available for download, and it gives the best sense of each camera's capabilities. To see the download link, you'll need to register with Vimeo (registration is free). Once logged in, look for the
Download M4V version link well down the right side of the Vimeo page.
More information about the gear used in the test is here. Zacuto has also recently posted a 15-minute video called Introducing DSLR Cinematography.
