| Official U.S. Presidential portrait shot with Canon EOS 5D Mark II |

The text accompanying the release of the first official portrait of U.S. President-Elect Barack Obama indicates that it's also the first such portrait to be taken with a digital camera. Pete Souza, who was recently chosen to be official White House photographer for the incoming administration, shot the photo using a Canon EOS 5D Mark II.
