The time it took to transfer 225 Nikon D1X JPEG and NEF photos from CompactFlash card to computer was tested using the cards and readers listed. The times have been converted to Kilobytes per second (K/sec); the fastest throughput for each card/reader combination is in bold.

Lexar FireWire CompactFlash Reader (Model RW019)

This version of the Lexar Firewire reader was released in the fall of 2003. Despite the similarity of its name, it is not the same reader, in appearance or performance, as the FireWire model Lexar has been shipping for several years.
