Washington Post: David Burnett reflects on an iconic moment missed
The Washington Post has posted a very interesting article by David Burnett who remembers the day that Associated Press photographer Nick Ut made his famous "napalm girl" image during the Vietnam War. Burnett, then 25 and a stringer for Time and Life magazines, was in the same location at the same time but was delayed by about 30 seconds trying to reload his Leica and missed the telling moment that turned Ut's photograph into an iconic anti-war image. The Post story includes a few previously unpublished pictures that Burnett shot that day.

Thunderbolt Update 1.2 for Mac causing boot-up problems (updated)
Among Apple's flurry of software releases yesterday was Thunderbolt Update 1.2, an update of Mac OS X 10.7.4 that adds support for the Thunderbolt to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter accessory. Here’s what Rose told us about shooting his fine photo, his path to a career in sports photography, and the challenges of shooting sports.
