Good blog: The Online Photographer
Monday, April 3, 2006 | by Eamon Hickey

The Online Photographer, a 5-month-old blog run by longtime photography writer Mike Johnston, has become a regular stop on our frequent tours of the world of Internet photography publishing.

Well-written with a personal and conversational tone, the blog has a reasonable amount of gear-related musings, but it's clearly not focused on in-depth coverage of all the latest and greatest new equipment. What you will find is rarer -- interesting posts and links related to the art and practice of serious and professional photography, as well as the medium's history, the history of particular photographers, and lots of pointers to great photographs.

There is perhaps a bit of a bias towards fine-art photography and documentary photojournalism, but Mike seems to have corralled a number of thoughtful contributors to help him out, and together they're making The Online Photographer an eclectic and enjoyable read.
