An amusing look at America's heartland

Gary Gladstone, a former corporate photographer, offers a whimsical look at small-town America in Portraits from the Heartland. We spotted Gladstone's work online in the American-Journal, a site of stories and pictures showing the diversity of the United States.
American-Journal is currently requesting submissions for two new areas: the American Landscape and Student Showcase. Before submitting your work, be sure you agree to the site's terms, which include far-reaching usage rights:
