Argraph this week has introduced the Zigview S2, the third model in its line of real-time electronic viewfinders for digital SLR cameras. The Zigview S2 features a detachable 2.5-inch LCD screen for remote viewing up to 12 metres (40 feet) away from the camera itself using an accessory video transceiver cable. When the screen module is attached to the sensor unit at the viewfinder, it can be flipped 180 degrees and rotated 300 degrees.

Like the Zigview R, the ZigView S2 supports firing the shutter (yes, even self portraits are possible) and includes an intervalometer as well as a 12-zone motion detection function. The Argraph website doesn't yet list the price of the Zigview S2, though the basic ZigView B and now-midrange Zigview R are listed at US249.95 and US$299.95, respectively.
Another company has recently launched an electronic viewfinder product. The Pro-View Wireless Remote Display offers a wireless video link between the sensor unit at the viewfinder and a small handheld video receiver.
