The web sites of both The New York Times and The Guardian have published articles on Joel Meyerowitz's new book of photographs, Aftermath, which documents the conditions and events at the World Trade Center site in the nine months following the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in New York City.
Meyerowitz was reportedly the only photographer who gained continuous access to the site in the months after the attacks. (After this article was first published, we received word from photographer Gary Marlon Suson who says that he, too, had full access to the 9/11 site during the same time period as Meyerowitz.)
Phaidon Press, the book's publisher, has posted several web pages related to the book, and it's available now from online retailers such as Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble. List price is US$75.00, but substantial discounts seem to be available.
