Creativepro: Fraser on calibrating Camera Raw in PSCS
Thursday, May 20, 2004 | by Eamon Hickey

Bruce Fraser's most recent "Out of Gamut" column for details a straightforward method for calibrating Photoshop's Camera Raw plug-in to the particular color rendition characteristics of an individual camera. Camera Raw is not compatible with custom camera profiles, but it provides extensive tools for tweaking its built-in color profiles under a tab labeled "calibrate" (visible when you click Camera Raw's "advanced" settings button). Fraser's method uses a Macbeth Color Checker as a color reference, and takes about 10 minutes, he says.
