Photosmith 2 for iPad to launch tomorrow
Tuesday, May 22, 2012 | by Rob Galbraith
Photosmith 2, a complete revamp of the iPad app for sorting, rating, captioning and keywording pictures on the go, is slated for release tomorrow. The new version adds wireless syncing of pictures from Photoshop Lightroom (in addition to syncing to Adobe's photo management software, as before), native support for receiving pictures from Eye-Fi cards, the ability to tag multiple photos at once, automatic sorting with a new feature called Smart Groups, speed and memory handling improvements and more.

Photosmith's developer, C Enterprises, has created a promotional video showcasing version 2. Watch it below.

Photosmith 2 is slated to go live at 9am eastern on May 23, 2012. It will be available from the iTunes App Store on your computer, or from the App Store on an Apple iPad (any generation) running iOS 5.1 or later. Photoshop Lightroom 3.5 or higher is required for syncing (along with the Photosmith 2 plug-in for Lightroom). Photosmith 2 will be a free update for licensed users of an earlier Photosmith version.

Photosmith 1.x users, be sure to read the upgrade guide before installing Photosmith 2.
