Reuters' Hershorn edits Super Bowl photos from his livingroom
Tuesday, February 6, 2007 | by Mike Sturk
An article at Poynteronline describes a new era of photo editing during this year's Super Bowl. Reuters' Gary Hershorn, News Pictures Editor for North America, didn't go to the game but was able to stay at home, watching the Super Bowl from his living room while editing game photos transmitted directly from the photographers' cameras. The system is built around proprietary Reuters technology called Paneikon.
In another Poynetronline story, photo editors from Indianapolis and Chicago are interviewed to find out how they covered the National Football League championship game which featured their hometown teams.
