Technicolor releases CineStyle for video-capable Canon digital SLRs
Friday, April 29, 2011 | by Rob Galbraith
Technicolor has released a Picture Style file for Canon digital SLRs. Called CineStyle, it's meant to flatten and desaturate video captured with Canon cameras so that optimum colour can be more readily achieved during post production. CineStyle is free and can be loaded into any current Canon digital SLR, though Technicolor advises it was "designed and optimized" for the EOS 5D Mark II.

For more information on what it does, how to install it and how to configure your camera's Picture Style settings once it's loaded, see the CineStyle section of the Technicolor website.

Also, check out Vincent Laforet's blog post on CineStyle, which includes screen grabs showing how the new Picture Style opens up shadows and knocks down saturation.
