PhotoZoom Pro 2 scaling plug-in now compatible with Photoshop CS3
Thursday, March 29, 2007 | by Rob Galbraith
BenVista has recently released two updates to PhotoZoom Pro 2 for Windows and Mac, the powerful image scaling application and Photoshop export plug-in. The main change in v2.2, introduced earlier this month, is the plug-in's compatibility with Photoshop CS3 on both platforms. On the Mac, this includes the release of the plug-in as a Universal Binary for native performance on computers with either Intel or PowerPC processors. Version 2.2.2, released this week, fixes a file overwriting bug.
The ReadMe summarizes the changes:

2.2.2 (27 Mar 2007) :
- Fixed : Overwriting original files

2.2 (15 Mar 2007) :
- New : Preset and image format preferences
- New : Rewrote manual
- New : Arabic language support
- Improved: Speedup when working with large source images

- New : Official Windows Vista support
- New : Official Adobe Photoshop CS3 plugin support

- New : Universal plugin support for Adobe Photoshop CS3

PhotoZoom Pro 2.2.2 is free to registered users of an earlier v2.x release. A new license is US$149 and includes both the standalone application and Photoshop plug-in. Upgrades from PhotoZoom Pro 1.x are US$49. A watermarking trial version is available.
