10 rules of U.S. copyright infringement

Several months ago, photographer Jeremy Nicholl wrote an informative blog post about his experience collecting a substantial settlement for unauthorized use of one of his images. 

Nicholl is not a U.S. citizen, and he evidently lives and works in Russia, but he still registers all of his images with the U.S. Copyright Office. In his blog post, he explains why, while weaving in details of the infringement for which he ultimately collected a five-figure settlement.
