UK freelancers in dispute
Saturday, March 3, 2001 | by
A dispute between The Scotsman newspaper group in the UK and its freelance photographers over contract terms has come to a head this week. The web site Editorial Photographers UK (EPUK), which includes extensive coverage of the dispute from the point of view of the photographers, notes that a March 1 deadline has passed for signing a new contract that, according to an EPUK FAQ, assigns to the company "ALL rights in ALL media, so they can use (the photographer's) work ANYWHERE..." without additional payment.
